Marina's Watercolour Class

Two afternoons per week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, there is a watercolour class in the Hangar.

The watercolour sessions are organised along the same lines every week: there is a subject, and teacher Marina (that's me) has pictures and a still life to inspire those who want to paint the subject.
Of course it is also great if you bring your own ideas and subjects and you will get all the help you need. Starters are also most welcome: there is a 5-afternoon starters program with a book.

This week the subject was: 'Mother of pearl'. The colourful, abstract kind:

Everyone loved the challenge and amazing work was created! We concluded that mother of pearl is an inspiring - and recommended-  material for both abstract and figurative work! Check it out here:

A marvellous soft abstract in natural colours by Glen

Isabel D. created this oyster-like shape with beautiful strong colours

Awesome abstract with mother of pearl glow by Anna-Karin

Michele F. painted this delicate shell with a silvery glow

Isabelle A.is still working on these interesting meandering lines

This awasome object with a true mother of pearl shine on a dotted background was painted by Judith

A true abstract, completely without recognizable shapes. To be finished by Michele C.

A different take on a mother of pearl shell, with lots of depth by Vanessa

Marie-Françoise painted  a landscape abstract, inspired by Mother of pearl

And here's the brilliant painting Carol created, also with pearly shine...

If you are interested in watercolours, you are welcome to pass by to have a look, or a try on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 2pm and 4.30pm. The fee is 15€, all materials and tea & coffee included.
