Aquarelle Watercolours, Tuesdays 2 - 4.30 with Marina Kulik

Watercolours, inspired by Jean Haines - part 1!

Last week we started with the first hour of a dvd showing Aquarellista Jean Haines, painting, showing her style, her excitement, her colours and her fun. After watching, we had one and a half hour left to paint two of her subjects in her style (flowers and cockerels), and we promised to do it 'for the bin' meaning, NO result-obligation, just for experimenting and especially - to have fun.

Dripping lots of watery paint, working diagonally from corner to corner, letting the water and the pigment do the work etc etc. It may sound easy but it is not!
Despite that, some of the results were way too good for the bin!! Have a look at a couple of the 'cockerels' that came out of this!...

Coming session, we will watch the next part and again follow the subject and pick up all kinds of clever things in Jean Haines' way of working! I will report about it next week...
