Buzzy - or Lisa, as some of us know her, has been a member of the Hangar for many years. She loves working outside and has produced many masterpieces - both figurative and abstract.
About her art she says:
La peinture c’est ma psychanalyse à moi : ma main en est l’analyste, mon cerveau l’analysé et le tout dans la joie et l’amitié.
Here are some of the works she has on display at P195 in Grasse for Abstract Vibrations IV.
If you would like to see her work - please check out the website to see how to set up an appointment: http://www.hangarart.com

ABSTRACT VIBRATIONS: Karin Fellinger
Karin is an Austrian artist who married a Frenchman and settled on the Côte d'Azur. She has worked at the Hangar for many years. Her paintings are in acrylics but often she mixes in other natural media such as beeswax, biodegradable raw canvas, natural pigments, or ochre sand from the quarries of the Luberon.

ABSTRACT VIBRATIONS: René Royon
René has been a member of the Hangar Art Association for several years.
This is what he says about himself and his work as an artist:
This is what he says about himself and his work as an artist:
"Tard venu à la peinture, je recherche avant tout les couleurs franches et vives, la simplicité dans la composition mais il arrive que tout change au fur et à mesure que mon pinceau prend le relai et le résultat final est rarement ce à quoi je m’attendais. C’est la raison pour laquelle peindre est pour moi un défi et une leçon d’humilité. Chacun peint comme il peut. C’est l’action de peindre en elle-même qui vous apporte ce sentiment de liberté, de plénitude et de bonheur suprême."

ABSTRACT VIBRATIONS: Ad Adriaans
Ad is a Dutch artist who shares his town between Malaysia and the South of France. He paints in both locations, inspired by the nature and culture of that environment. Some years ago he joined the painting group in the Hangar.

| Ad the abstract artist |
His passion is for abstract works. He finds it more challenging and likes to experiment in form and composition. His creativity stems from spontaneous visualisation and less from any preconceived ideas.
His work draws attention to the vibrate colours he uses. He prefers to express his imagination in abstract art.
Ad has 5 paintings on display at Abstract Vibrations IV in Grasse. If you would like to see them, check out the website: www.hangarart.com

ABSTRACT VIBRATIONS: Irene Olkkonen
I would like to introduce Irene Olkkonen - one of the abstract artists at the Hangar. She has four of her paintings on display at P195 in Grasse for Abstract Vibrations IV.
Irene has been a member of the Hangar Art association for quite some time. She has experimented with pastels, oils, watercolours and clay but got really carried away with acrylics when learning about abstract expressionism. She is originally from Finland and lives and exhibits at the Cote d’Azur.
This is what Irene says about the painting process:
"When starting a new painting I often have an idea in my head of what I intend to do. I spread the colours on the canvas, changing something, removing or adding on something else. I get absorbed in the work expressing moods and feelings of the moment. In this way my experience of the whole process of painting becomes a kind of meditative engagement. At the end I am often led to interesting and surprising results."
