Café Culture about Aboriginee Art, on Wednesday 4 March 7.30 pm

Contemporary Aboriginal Art from Australia

For the next Café Culture on Wednesday 4 March, we have invited a speaker:  Céline Emery-Demion

Céline is an French-Australian gallerist. She invites you to discover a fascinating art movement, inspired by multi-millennial Aboriginal myths and beliefs based on the ‘Dreamtime’: the time of Creation when the Great Ancestors left their spiritual and physical prints over the vast Australian land.

Céline regularly travels to the Australian central desert to meet the artists and she brings back their artworks in order to promote the pictorial and cultural richness of Australian Indigenous culture in France.

In her one-hour inspiring presentation, she will share the energy of the paintings and stories of the Aboriginal desert communities, which, despite past persecutions, remain strong and fight constantly to gain their rightful place in Australian society today.“

As usual the Café Culture will be followed by a glass of wine and nibbles with your Hangar-friends!

To help plan the evening, please confirm your participation before February 20th to patrick.scetbon@wanadoo.fr

Entry €5 pp, non-members welcome!
