A big thank you to the artists who already painted a wooden block with their representation of 'War' on one side and of 'Peace' on the other side! I have just delivered the first heavyyy batch of 25 finished blocks to the Artothèque of Valbonne and they were delighted with our work! There is a lot going on behind the scenes to prepare for the exhibition, which will feature a long wall of painted blocks (on a concrete base) throughout the village!
Some of you took a block with them to work on it at home and I hope you won't forget to finish it! (NB: Make sure you thoroughly varnish your block because the wall will be outside!!)
For those of you who didn't start yet - grab yours now, it is fun to paint on that rough surface and the abstraction or representation of war and peace is quite interesting and challenging.
The deadline is end of March and I hope to see that empty spot in the Hangar filled again!
By the way - our results definitely stand out compared to what I saw, and the Artotheque as well as the Village de Valbonne are highly appreciating the effort the Hangar artists are making. And that's good for you and for the Hangar of course!!
